REMOVAL
1. REMOVE TAIL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY
|
(a) Remove the bolt and clamp. |
(b) Disconnect the exhaust pipe support and remove the tail exhaust pipe assembly.
(c) Remove the gasket from the center exhaust pipe assembly.
2. REMOVE CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY
|
(a) Remove the 4 bolts. |
(b) Disconnect the 3 exhaust pipe supports and remove the center exhaust pipe assembly.
(c) Remove the 2 gaskets from the front exhaust pipe assembly and front No. 3 exhaust pipe sub-assembly.
3. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY
|
(a) Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector. |
|
(b) Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor connector and 2 clamps. |
|
(c) Remove the 3 nuts and remove the front exhaust pipe assembly. |
(d) Remove the gasket form the front exhaust pipe assembly.
4. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 1)

(a) Using SST, remove the air fuel ratio sensor. SST: 09224-00010 |
5. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 2)
|
(a) Using SST, remove the heated oxygen sensor. SST: 09224-00010 |
6. REMOVE MONOLITHIC CONVERTER PROTECTOR
|
(a) Remove the 4 bolts and 4 nuts, remove the monolithic converter protector and 4 converter protector stays. |
7. REMOVE NO. 1 MONOLITHIC CONVERTER PROTECTOR
|
(a) Remove the 4 bolts and 4 nuts, remove the No. 1 monolithic converter protector and 4 converter protector stays. |
8. REMOVE FRONT NO. 3 EXHAUST PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY
|
(a) Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts. |
(b) Disconnect the exhaust pipe support and remove the front No. 3 exhaust pipe sub-assembly.
(c) Remove the gasket from the front No. 2 exhaust pipe assembly.
9. REMOVE NO. 1 MONOLITHIC CONVERTER PROTECTOR

(a) Remove the 4 bolts and 4 nuts, remove the No. 1 monolithic converter protector and 4 converter protector stays. |
10. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY
|
(a) Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector. |
|
(b) Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor connector. |
|
(c) Remove the 3 nuts and remove the front No. 2 exhaust pipe assembly. |
11. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 1)
|
(a) Using SST, remove the air fuel ratio sensor. SST: 09224-00010 |
12. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 2)
|
(a) Using SST, remove the heated oxygen sensor. SST: 09224-00010 |
13. REMOVE MONOLITHIC CONVERTER PROTECTOR
|
(a) Remove the 4 bolts and 4 nuts, remove the monolithic converter protector and 4 converter protector stays. |
